When a bad company battles short sellers with legal action it ALWAYS ends badly – Cassava

My friend Gabriel Grego has, along with a stack of other bears, been hit by a law suit from a biotech company he has taken on, Cassava (SAVA). Gabriel is too much of a gent to steal my catchphrase “see you in Court bitchez” but he says so in rather more gentle words. As my old pal Evil Knievil once noted “legal action is not an invitation to go short but an obligation.”

The Poltroon threatening Tom Winnifrith with legal action is exposed…

BREAKING: AllAgents hits out, in formal statement, at Purplebricks for trying to suppress genuine reviews of its shoddy service

Earlier I revealed how the UK's largest independent reviewer of Estate Agents had blocked Purplebricks (PURP) after it threatened legal action if Allagents.co.uk continued to carry reviews of its shoddy services which were anything other than flattering - 71 (half) of the reviews were bad and Purplebricks demanded they be removed. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: don't be like Pizza Hardman Darren Atwater & Forget St Valentine's Day

Don't be like the Hardman - treat your better half to something special like a Golden Ticket to the UK Investor Show and Saracens cabaret. Natch My Mrs is getting one of these but more besides. Now to stocks, I talk Strat Aero (AERO), Altitude (ALT), Galantas (GAL) and Sunrise Resources (SRES) and history repeats itself as a devout Christian threatens legal action again at a point when I am out of the country. The Foxy Legals are standing by having kicked his arse last time.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The Red flags that flutter proudly at Techfinancials

In today's podcast I look forward to tomorrow and a meeting with lawyers to discuss legal action on behalf of shareholders in Cloudtag (CTAG) and the fraud African Potash (AFPO). I look forward even more to a night-time flight to Greece. I look in some details at Rosslyn Data (RDT) and in even more detail at Israeli tech dog Techfinancials (TECH). At a personal level I have been much distracted today by writing up my thoughts after a meeting yesterday to discuss physical abuse at Warwick School 38 years ago - more on that HERE

Cash strapped Slater & Gordon tries to get £50 million from Watchstone with legal threat

Aussie poltroon Slater & Gordon (SGH) has finally woken up to the fact that the Quindell businesses it bought for £647 million last year were worthless frauds and as such it has today said it is taking legal action against Watchstone (WTG), the renamed Quenron corporate entity. I fear the Aussies are merely throwing a Hail Mary pass and that its case is doomed. Its shares are not 95% down since the deal at just 40 cents for no reason.
